Most of the observed increase in global average temperatures since the mid-20th century is very likely due to the observed increase in anthropogenic greenhouse gas concentrations, according to the IPCC. Discernible human influences now extend to other aspect of climate, including ocean warming, continental-average temperatures, temperatures extremes and wind patterns.
It is almost certain humanity will influence the climate in the forthcoming centuries. Continued greenhouse gas emissions at or above current rates would cause further warning and induce many changes in the global climate system during the 21st century that would very likely be larger than those observed during the 20th century.
Till the end of the century a global temperature increase is to be expected of probably between 1,1 and 6,4 degrees. The worldwide sea level will rise between 18 to 59 centimeters, regarded from 1990.
Climate Change has the potential to affect the basic elements of life for people around the world with devastating impacts on water supplies, food production, health, and the environment. Hundreds of millions of people could suffer hunger, water shortages and coastal flooding as the world warms.
