The European Commission presented its Green Paper “Adapting to climate change in Europe: options for EU action in June 2007. With this Green Paper, the EU puts adaptation on the agenda. World Bank presents climate change adaptation research agenda

The impact of sea level rise from climate change impacts could be catastrophic for many developing countries, especially those in the delta areas – the World Bank estimates that even a one meter rise would turn at least 56 million people in the developing world into environmental refugees.
